Mongolia Electrical Control Cabinet Powder Coating Line Project
Share:
Project Name: Electrical Control Cabinet Powder Coating Line Project
Project Location: Mongolia
Industry: Electrical Equipment Manufacturing
Project Type: Automatic Powder Coating Line
For electrical control cabinet manufacturing, powder coating is not only about achieving an attractive finish. The coating also needs to provide reliable protection for sheet-metal surfaces during long-term use.
Cabinet doors, frames, panels, and other fabricated components can have different shapes and surface areas, making consistent pretreatment, spraying, and curing important to the overall coating result.
For this project in Mongolia, the customer was looking for a more organized powder coating process for electrical control cabinet components. ZHYAO developed a customized electrical control cabinet powder coating line according to the workpieces, production requirements, and available factory conditions.
The solution connects surface pretreatment, drying, powder spraying, recovery, curing, and cooling into one continuous production process.
The main challenge with electrical control cabinet coating is maintaining a consistent process across different sheet-metal components.
Large cabinet panels require even powder coverage, while frames, edges, corners, and other structural sections need appropriate spraying conditions.
The customer therefore required a coating system that could provide:
Consistent powder coating quality
Reliable surface preparation before spraying
Uniform powder coverage on cabinet components
Stable curing conditions
Continuous material conveying
Effective recovery of powder overspray
Less dependence on manual coating operations
A layout suitable for the customer's factory
Rather than treating each coating process as an independent operation, the production line was planned as a complete workflow so that the workpieces could move smoothly from one stage to the next.
ZHYAO supplied a complete automatic powder coating line for electrical control cabinets, with the equipment configured around the characteristics of the customer's metal components.
The main sections include:
Automatic conveyor system
Surface pretreatment system
Drying oven
Automatic electrostatic powder coating booth
Powder recovery system
Powder curing oven
Cooling section
Electrical control system
The process starts with surface pretreatment. Before powder is applied, oil, dust, and other contaminants need to be removed from the metal surface. Proper pretreatment provides a cleaner and more suitable surface for the subsequent coating process.
After drying, the workpieces are conveyed into the powder coating booth. The automatic electrostatic spraying system applies powder to the cabinet components.
Spraying parameters can be adjusted according to the structure and size of the workpieces, which is particularly important when the production includes both large panels and smaller cabinet parts.
During spraying, not all powder lands on the workpiece. The recovery system collects overspray and allows suitable powder to be handled for reuse, helping control material waste during production.
The coated components then enter the curing oven. Controlled heating and hot-air circulation provide the conditions required for the powder coating to cure properly.
Maintaining a stable curing environment is essential for achieving consistent adhesion, hardness, and surface appearance.
After curing, the workpieces pass through the cooling section before moving to the next manufacturing process.

Electrical control cabinets contain relatively large flat surfaces as well as edges, corners, frames, and internal structures. Automatic electrostatic spraying provides more repeatable application conditions than relying entirely on manual spraying.
The conveyor connects pretreatment, drying, spraying, curing, and cooling. Operators do not need to repeatedly move workpieces between separate processing areas, making the overall coating workflow easier to organize.
Powder recovery is an important part of an automatic powder coating system. Collecting overspray helps reduce unnecessary powder loss and improves material utilization over continuous production.
The curing oven is one of the key sections of the line. Stable heating and air circulation help ensure that the powder coating reaches the required curing condition across different cabinet components.
The line can be configured around different workpiece dimensions, weights, production volumes, and color-change requirements. This gives the customer greater flexibility when producing different electrical control cabinet models.
The Mongolia electrical control cabinet powder coating line provides the customer with an integrated coating process instead of separate manual coating operations.
The complete workflow—from pretreatment and drying to powder spraying, recovery, curing, and cooling—helps make the production process more consistent and easier to manage.
For electrical control cabinet components, the combination of automatic conveying and electrostatic powder spraying provides repeatable coating conditions, while the recovery system helps reduce powder waste.
The curing oven then provides a controlled environment for developing the final coating properties.
The customized production line is also designed with future production changes in mind, allowing the coating process to accommodate different cabinet components within the planned operating range.
ZHYAO designs and manufactures customized industrial coating equipment for manufacturers requiring complete and integrated finishing solutions.
Our solutions cover:
Automatic Powder Coating Lines
Electrical Control Cabinet Powder Coating Lines
Electrical Enclosure Coating Systems
Liquid Painting Lines
E-Coating Lines
Dip Coating Lines
Conveyor Systems

The equipment configuration is not determined by a fixed standard line. Workpiece dimensions, weight, material, production output, factory layout, coating requirements, and color-change frequency are considered when developing the production line.
From process design and equipment manufacturing to installation and commissioning, ZHYAO provides a complete coating solution for industrial manufacturers.
For a project involving electrical control cabinets or other sheet-metal products, the following information helps determine the appropriate line configuration:
Factory Dimensions
Production Output — 1 day = 8 hours, 1 month = 30 days
Workpiece Material
Workpiece Dimensions
Workpiece Weight
Color Change Demand and Frequency
These details are used to determine the conveyor system, pretreatment process, powder coating booth, recovery configuration, curing oven, and overall production line layout.
